Paid Research and Policy Internship | Economic Innovation Group
The Tone:
This is a paid research and policy internship at the Economic Innovation Group (EIG), located in Washington, D.C. EIG is a bipartisan public policy organization dedicated to fostering a more dynamic and inclusive American economy. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant research and policy initiatives. The work performed by the intern will directly impact distressed communities, U.S. economic growth, and the creation of new businesses and jobs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct policy research and track congressional bills.
• Analysis: Obtain, process, and analyze economic datasets.
• Writing: Research and write briefing memos.
• Documentation: Conduct literature reviews and prepare synopses.
• Attendance: Attend relevant events and Congressional hearings, taking detailed notes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student (third or fourth-year undergraduate, graduate) or recent graduate with a background in economic research or economic policy.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required for this internship.
• Skills: Excellent research skills, strong writing skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under short deadlines.
• Bonus: Experience in congressional relations is a plus.
