Telecommunications Real Estate & Operations Intern | Array Digital Infrastructure, Inc.

The Tone:
This is a paid internship at Array Digital Infrastructure, Inc., located in Chicago, IL, offering hands-on experience in the digital infrastructure sector. Array Digital Infrastructure, Inc. is a leading owner and operator of shared wireless communications infrastructure in the United States, managing over 4,400 cell towers to enable the deployment of 5G and other wireless technologies. This role is crucial for supporting a national portfolio of telecommunications real estate assets, including ground towers and related infrastructure, helping to manage and optimize these large-scale portfolios. Interns will gain practical exposure across asset management, leasing operations, data analytics, and process improvement within a critical infrastructure environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Portfolio Analysis: Support analysis of telecommunications real estate assets, leases, and portfolio performance.
• Data Management: Assist with lease tracking, abstraction, documentation, and ensuring data accuracy in internal systems and Excel.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Analyze operational, asset, or financial data and prepare clear summaries or dashboards for insights.
• Process Improvement: Help document business processes, workflows, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Prepare reports, presentations, and insights, collaborating with asset management, leasing, finance, construction, and operations teams.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Urban Planning, or Legal Studies.
• Experience: Ability to work 20 hours per week for the duration of a 12-month internship, with at least 8-10 hours per week required in the office (Monday – Wednesday).
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, data organization), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Bonus: Exposure to commercial real estate leasing or contract review, asset performance or portfolio analysis, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), analytical tools (SQL, Python, R), process mapping, or enterprise systems (SiteTracker, Salesforce).
