• Team: Financial Accounting Outsourcing (FAO) team
• Mission: Provide integrated accounting solutions that help clients enable and manage growth, leverage resources, and mitigate costs and risks.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Financial Close & Reporting: Oversee and execute monthly financial close procedures, including the preparation of balance sheets and income statements for clients.
• Perform Account Reconciliations & Analysis: Conduct detailed financial account reconciliations and perform in-depth financial statement analysis, providing observations and recommendations on fluctuations.
• Ensure Tax Compliance: Prepare and file various necessary tax forms for clients, such as sales, payroll, property tax filings, and Forms 1099.
• Optimize Processes & Systems: Evaluate client business and accounting processes and procedures, recognizing opportunities and providing recommendations for improvements to systems.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Interact and collaborate with professionals from other practice areas within Plante Moran, including audit, tax, wealth management, and general consulting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Entry-level professional with demonstrated academic success, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Detail-oriented, problem-solving, communication, critical thinking, organizational, technical, and analytical abilities.
• Bonus: On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining your CPA license.
