Job Title: Oracle HCM Engineer II

Location: Houston, TX – Onsite

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle HCM Engineer II to join our team in Houston, TX. This role demands a deep technical and functional understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite Human Capital Management (HCM) modules, coupled with strong development capabilities. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in supporting, developing, implementing, and upgrading our Oracle HCM solutions, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Core Oracle HCM Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with core Oracle E-Business Suite HCM modules, including:
    • HR (Human Resources)
    • Payroll
    • OTL (Oracle Time & Labor)
    • Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB)
    • Absence Management
    • Workflow

    This includes proficiency in configuration, functional support, and troubleshooting across these critical areas.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience specifically with Oracle Learning Management (OLM) and Compensation Workbench (CWB), demonstrating an ability to manage and optimize learning programs and compensation processes.
  • Minimum 3 years of focused experience in configuring and managing OTL time and Absence management processes, including timecard entry, approval workflows, absence types, and accruals.

Specialized Payroll & Benefits Expertise:

  • Minimum 5 years of in-depth experience utilizing Fast Formulas within Payroll, Oracle Advanced Benefits (OAB), and OTL. This is a critical technical skill for defining complex calculations, eligibility rules, and processing logic.
  • Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience with the end-to-end Oracle Payroll process, including the setup and management of pay elements (earnings, deductions, taxes) and their integration with Fast Formulas.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience specifically managing the HRMS US Year-end W2 process, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely generation of year-end tax documents.

Technical Development & Tools:

  • Minimum 5 years of robust experience with key Oracle Development Tools, including:
    • Forms (customization and development)
    • Reports (customization and development)
    • PL/SQL (advanced programming for extensions, interfaces, and data manipulation)
    • XML Publisher (for advanced reporting solutions)
    • Web-ADI (Web Application Desktop Integrator)
    • Workflow (customization and administration)
    • SQL Loader (for efficient data loading)
  • Required experience with Oracle Developer 10g (specifically Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, and Workflow components).

Full Lifecycle Experience:

  • Proven experience across the entire application lifecycle, including:
    • Development (creating new functionalities and customizations)
    • Implementations (participating in new module rollouts or system integrations)
    • Production Support (resolving issues, managing incidents, and ensuring system stability)
    • Upgrades (contributing to system upgrades and patching efforts)

Oracle E-Business Suite & Database Versions:

  • Required experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 (the latest major release).
  • Preferred experience with Oracle RDBMS 19c running on Linux x86 64 bit, indicating familiarity with the underlying database and operating system environment.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree from a 4-year accredited university is required, OR 15 years of related industry or technical experience in lieu of a degree.
