What You’ll Actually Do
• Operate Facilities: Operate water treatment facilities to effectively control the flow and processing of water, ensuring adherence to all State and Federal rules for drinking water quality.
• Conduct Maintenance: Perform a variety of essential maintenance tasks on equipment within the water treatment plant, contributing to the overall efficiency and longevity of the facility.
• Monitor Conditions: Continuously observe variations in operating conditions, meticulously interpreting meter and gauge readings to make informed operational adjustments.
• Perform Quality Control: Collect necessary samples and execute thorough quality control testing to verify water purity and compliance standards.
• Document and Ensure Safety: Maintain accurate shift logs and perform other required duties, while actively taking action to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of yourself and your team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
• Experience: Demonstrate a basic understanding of computer software, including the Microsoft Office Suite, and possess the ability to accurately enter data into a maintenance management system. No specific years of experience required.
• Skills: Hold a valid driver’s license with no major infractions, enabling independent travel for operational needs.
• Bonus: Ideally, you will have a current first-level water/wastewater treatment certification or be actively working towards obtaining one. Additionally, basic familiarity with the fundamental principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations, including an understanding of valves, pumps, motors, and safe work practices, is highly desirable.
