What You’ll Actually Do
• Trade Processing: Precisely input and process all trade entries within the accounting system, ensuring meticulous accuracy and strict adherence to established deadlines to support the firm’s financial operations.
• Securities Operations: Execute both routine and specialized activities related to securities processing, playing a crucial role in maintaining the continuous and efficient flow of financial instruments.
• Operational Integrity: Implement and uphold essential operational controls designed to bolster accuracy, effectively mitigate risks, and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards across the firm.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively investigate, appropriately escalate, and efficiently resolve complex trade breaks and other trade-related issues, communicating effectively with internal partners and external contacts as required.
• Financial Support: Provide critical support for cash management processes, emphasizing timeliness and accuracy, and also assist with administrative tasks related to 529 plans.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A BA/BS degree or equivalent relevant work experience in financial services operations, finance, banking, accounting, or a related field is required. This role is specifically tailored for individuals aiming to launch their career within financial services operations.
• Experience: This is an entry-level position; therefore, no specific prior professional experience is explicitly required, making it accessible for recent graduates to apply directly.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong PC and technical skills are essential. Candidates must possess the ability to accurately identify issues, effectively problem-solve, and escalate concerns appropriately. Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical for interacting with internal partners and external contacts. Strong time management capabilities and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are necessary for handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, a highly organized and detail-oriented approach is expected, alongside the comfort of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
