Job Description: Operations Management Internship
This paid internship (16 weeks, May-August 2025) provides real-world experience in plant and/or distribution operations at Cargill’s Camrose, AB plant. The internship is designed as a training program preparing candidates for the Operations Management Associate role.
Responsibilities:
• Project Work: Interns will undertake a project to improve a facet of current operations, applying classroom skills to a real-world setting. Additional projects based on individual interests are also possible.

• Skill Development: The program focuses on developing skills crucial for operations leadership, such as:
• Risk Management: Understanding leadership in safety and regulatory compliance.
• Talent Management: Leading, mentoring, and developing diverse teams. Gaining knowledge of HR policies and strategies.
• Reliability Excellence: Understanding production maintenance to meet customer requirements.
• Operational Efficiency: Aligning plant operations with all functions to achieve business objectives.
• Capital Efficiency: Collaborating on capital project initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborating on production process improvements.
• Training Role: The internship serves as a training ground for the Operations Management Associate role. It involves shadowing and learning opportunities across various plant teams and departments. Interns will seek real challenges, cultivate curiosity, gain client exposure, and receive acknowledgement for their initiative.
Program Details:
• Duration: 16 weeks (minimum).
• Compensation: Paid hourly.
• Transportation: Interns are responsible for their own transportation.
• Potential for Future Employment: High-performing interns may be offered further internship, co-op, or full-time positions.

Qualifications:
• Required: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program (graduating between December 2025 and May 2027); ability to complete a 16-week internship (May-August 2025); proven ability to work well with diverse individuals; high degree of initiative and resourcefulness; legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Preferred: Degree in agriculture or business-related field (e.g., Animal Science, Ag-Economics, etc.).
