Internship Program:

The Sonoco internship program is designed to provide students with a taste of the manufacturing and packaging industry. You will work on impactful projects within a specific division, gaining valuable insights into Sonoco’s culture and processes while developing a business mindset.

Potential for future careers: Internships serve as a stepping stone towards the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation.
Location: Internships are located across Sonoco’s vast network of 150 locations in 34 states. Interns must be open to relocation for the summer.
Duration: Internships last approximately 12 weeks, with start and end dates flexible based on your academic schedule and relocation needs.
Compensation:
Paid: Internships offer a monthly salary depending on your academic year and degree program.
Relocation assistance: Sonoco provides relocation assistance (U-Haul cargo trailer) and a housing and activity allowance.
Sponsored events: You’ll participate in Sonoco-sponsored activities with other interns and new Emerging Leaders Associates.

Eligibility:

To be considered for a Sonoco internship, you must:

• Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, or Business.
• Have previous internship experience (preferably in Manufacturing or a functional area).
• Possess proven leadership experience.
• Demonstrate technical aptitude.
• Possess strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:

Undergraduate Business/Non-Technical Degrees:
• Senior: $4,100/month
• Junior: $3,900/month
• Sophomore: $3,700/month
• Freshman: $3,500/month
Undergraduate Engineering/Technical Degrees:
• Senior: $4,700/month
• Junior: $4,500/month
• Sophomore: $4,100/month
• Freshman: $4,000/month
Graduate Degree Business/Non-Technical:
• Senior: $4,900/month
Graduate Degree Engineering/Technical:
• Senior: $5,500/month
