Operations Finance Analyst | General Dynamics Information Technology
The Tone:
This is a regular, full-time role at ARMA Global, a fully owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), located in Fort Eustis, VA. • Mission: Compile information to support military financial strategy decisions, provide financial guidance, and ensure regulatory compliance and accountability of funds.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Advise Leadership: Serve as the principal financial advisor, providing objective guidance on financial management to all levels of leadership within the organization.
• Manage Budgets: Plan, organize, and advise on comprehensive financial management functions, including the formulation, justification, defense, and execution of complex budgets.
• Ensure Compliance: Develop and enforce financial policies and fiscal controls to ensure full regulatory and legal compliance with relevant statutes like the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and DoW Financial Management Regulation (FMR).
• Oversee Accounting: Oversee key financial oversight activities, including all Quality Assurance Programs related to accounting functions, maintaining audit readiness, and ensuring full accountability of funds.
• Manage Contracts: Prepare, examine, negotiate, and revise contracts to align with organizational goals, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with FAR requirements and DoW Directive 70-1.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (6 years military service or 10+ years civilian work) with core domain knowledge in DoW Financial Management and Comptroller operations.
• Experience: 10+ years of related civilian experience or 6+ years of related military experience, including daily use of DEAMS, comprehensive knowledge of military and civilian pay/travel systems (DTS, DJMS, DCPS, AROWS-R), applying analytical techniques, maintaining audit readiness, and briefing General and Flag Officers/Senior Executives.
• Skills: Accounting, Contract Agreements, Financial Management, strong communication, influencing, project management, leadership abilities, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Bonus: Commercial finance and banking experience, Special Operations experience.
