Operations Control Center Specialist | Swissport
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Swissport, available at various locations across the globe. Swissport is a global leader in aviation services, providing Ground Handling, Cargo Handling, and Passenger Services to over 300 million passengers annually. This role is crucial for managing daily flight service capture, manpower planning, and essential internal and external communications. The Operations Control Center Specialist ensures the seamless flow of information and resources to meet operational and financial key performance indicators.

• Mission: Proactively manages manpower allocation and critical communications to ensure operational and financial KPIs are consistently met for daily flight services.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, various proprietary internal systems and applications
What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Produce daily Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and conduct daily briefings with the station management team.
• Data Management: Provide accurate and timely updates on flight information across various systems for billing, capturing flight details, recording irregularities, and tracking performance.
• Communication Hub: Handle all incoming and outgoing operational messages concerning flight times, load information, special service requests, and regulatory details from airline customers.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer airlines and internal departmental representatives, facilitating smooth information exchange and issue resolution.
• Resource Coordination: Proactively disseminate critical operational changes and local challenges to Regional Resource Analysts, aiding in broader resource optimization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional with a preferred Bachelor’s degree, demonstrating good working knowledge of the specific challenges and issues involved in managing a labor-intensive workforce within an operational setting.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of hands-on operational experience within a relevant industry.
• Skills: Excellent planning and communication skills, including strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building abilities. Demonstrated strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Bonus: Proven people and operational management skills, encompassing leadership, resource management, planning, negotiation, financial understanding, and HR aspects. A good working knowledge of statutory and procedural obligations, including health and safety, employment law, and security issues. The ability to quickly and accurately assess complex situations and instigate effective corrective action, coupled with flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays in response to business demand.
