What We Look For In a TEAS Tutor

• Advanced Test Mastery: Possess deep knowledge across all TEAS test sections, including:
  • Reading: Covering key ideas, craft and structure, and integration of knowledge.
  • Mathematics: Covering numbers, algebra, measurement, and data.
  • Science: Covering human anatomy and physiology, life science, earth science, and physical science.
  • English and Language Usage.

  Ability to explain scoring mechanisms and nursing program admission requirements effectively.

  • Grammar rule application specific to TEAS.

  Guide students through interpreting scientific data, converting measurement units, solving algebraic equations, analyzing sentence structure, and managing time across all four test sections. Emphasize targeting science and math sections, where most nursing program applicants often seek improvement.

• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiarity with TEAS test content and common student challenges, including anatomy and physiology knowledge gaps, algebraic word problems, and reading comprehension of scientific passages. Ability to adapt instruction using ATI official TEAS practice materials, anatomy review guides, and diagnostic assessments to support nursing school applicants aiming for competitive scores for program admission.
• Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly and engaging teaching style.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and individual student needs.
