What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Provide personalized, in-depth instruction to individual graduate-level students in advanced statistics.
• Guide: Guide students through complex concepts like likelihood function derivations, posterior distribution calculations, and experimental design.
• Adapt: Adapt teaching methods and instructional approaches using research paper examples and proof-based exercises to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Prepare: Prepare students for research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis, emphasizing theoretical foundations and applications in various fields.
• Enhance: Utilize AI-powered support tools like Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional assistance and lesson generation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of mathematical statistics, maximum likelihood estimation, sufficient statistics, hypothesis testing theory, Bayesian inference, regression analysis, multivariate methods, experimental design, and nonparametric statistics.
• Experience: Ability to explain asymptotic theory, Neyman-Pearson lemma, and generalized linear models, alongside proficiency in preparing students for research methodology and doctoral-level statistical analysis.
• Skills:
1. Advanced subject mastery in graduate-level statistics, including conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities.
2. Strong ability to break down complex concepts and explain material using multiple approaches.
