What We Look For In a MBLEx Tutor

• Advanced Test Mastery:
  • Deep knowledge of MBLEx content areas, including anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, pathology and contraindications, benefits and effects of massage, client assessment, treatment planning, ethics and professional practice, and guidelines for professional practice.
  • Ability to explain musculoskeletal anatomy, massage technique applications, and scope of practice while effectively preparing massage therapy graduates for licensure.
• Strategic Test-Taking & Problem-Solving:
  • Skilled at teaching anatomical identification, pathology recognition, and clinical decision-making specifically for the MBLEx examination.
  • Guides students through muscle origin-insertion-action identification, recognizing contraindications to massage, selecting appropriate techniques for client conditions, and applying ethical principles to professional scenarios.
  • Emphasizes connecting anatomy knowledge to practical treatment planning and client safety.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiar with the MBLEx content outline and common challenges students face, such as memorizing musculoskeletal anatomy, distinguishing conditions requiring referral, and applying ethics to boundary situations.
  • Adapts instruction using anatomy review tools, practice examinations, and clinical scenario analysis to effectively support massage therapy graduates preparing for the MBLEx licensure examination.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with.
  • Capable of explaining material using multiple approaches and adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
