    • Ability to connect guitar instruction to music theory, songwriting, and ensemble performance.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
    • Familiarity with various guitar pedagogy methods and common challenges (e.g., finger strength development, barre chord difficulty, reading standard notation vs. tablature).
    • Ability to adapt instruction using method books, popular song arrangements, and technique exercises tailored to student goals.
    • Capable of supporting learners from absolute beginners through advanced players in acoustic, electric, classical, or popular guitar styles.
  • Effective Teaching Methods:
    • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple approaches.
    • Strong aptitude for adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Communication & Engagement: Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style are essential.
