What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruction: Deliver personalized, in-depth 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions to elementary school students to enhance their math comprehension.
• Concept Breakdown: Effectively explain core elementary math concepts, including multi-digit operations, fractions, and word problems, using visual models and real-world connections.
• Adaptive Teaching: Modify teaching approaches and resources, such as base-ten blocks and games, to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental levels.
• Curriculum Alignment: Apply deep knowledge of elementary math standards for grades one through five, focusing on foundational arithmetic and problem-solving skills.
• Platform Engagement: Utilize the AI-powered Tutor Copilot for real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engaging students during sessions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of core elementary math concepts, including number sense, place value, arithmetic operations, basic fractions and decimals, measurement, time, money, geometry, patterns, and introductory data interpretation. Familiarity with elementary math standards for grades one through five is essential.
• Experience: Proven ability to identify common student struggles and explain material using multiple approaches, adept at guiding students through various math concepts.
• Skills: Strong conceptual teaching abilities including breaking down complex topics and using hands-on manipulatives; capacity to adapt instruction to individual learning needs and styles; excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly and engaging teaching style.
