The Role: New Nurse Graduate

The New Nurse Graduate provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis or hospital services units, operating as an integral part of a patient care team. Our Registered Nurses (RNs) are crucial in ensuring safe care and prioritizing the highest quality outcomes for every patient.

Schedule

  • Potential full-time shifts vary from four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts.
  • In-Center RNs enjoy Sundays off; no overnight shifts.
  • Rotating call may be required in our hospital services programs after orientation completion.

Compensation

Pay range is dependent on nursing and dialysis experience.

Responsibilities – What You Can Expect

  • DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions, job shadowing, and one-on-one skills training.
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physicians and families.
  • Prepare dialysis machine and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures.
  • Ongoing patient education, training, and health coaching, including relevant documentation.
  • Administer and chart all prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, rounds, and chart reviews.
  • Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals.
  • Assist in medication inventory maintenance.
  • Contribute to training new staff members as directed.
  • Additional tasks as requested.

Qualifications – Successful Candidates Bring

  • Ability to problem-solve.

Education/Training

  • Accredited nursing degree required.
  • Dialysis experience is not required; job shadow opportunities are available.
  • New graduates are strongly encouraged to apply!
