Job Description: Neuromodulation R&D Internship

LivaNova offers internships within their Neuromodulation R&D group. Interns will contribute to the engineering aspects of medical device development, working on projects that will directly impact patients globally. The internship is designed to provide comprehensive training and experience in medical device engineering.

Responsibilities and Exposure:

Interns will be exposed to various aspects of the medical device development lifecycle, including:

Robust engineering design and methodology for product development: Gaining practical experience in the design process from concept to completion.
Development of test fixtures, protocols, and reliability testing: Learning how to design and execute tests to ensure product quality and safety.
Establishment of best practices and methodologies on how designs are documented and communicated: Developing strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Technical communication with various functional teams in product development: Collaborating effectively with other engineers and departments.

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
Previous SolidWorks or other 3D modeling experience.
• Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.

Additional Details:

• Internship Dates: 5/27/24 – 8/2/24
• Pay: $28/hr
• Location: Onsite/hybrid at Clear Lake (Southeast Houston, TX) office.
