What You’ll Actually Do
• Planning: Participate in daily planning meetings to contribute news programming ideas.
• Monitoring: Monitor websites and social media to report news and find story leads.
• Content Creation: Write assigned segments and articles for digital newscasts and the website.
• Digital Media: Cut video from newscasts and add metadata for social media and online platforms.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively enrolled in a degree-granting program, sophomore standing or above (30 credits), pursuing Journalism or Communications.
• Experience: Familiarity with Premiere and Photoshop, prior use of WordPress, and experience using TikTok, Facebook, Instagram.
• Skills: Knowledge of AP Style and newswriting, bilingual skills (Spanish/English) a plus.
