NAPA Counter Sales Associate | NAPA

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Solutions: Provide comprehensive auto parts answers and solutions to both retail and wholesale customers in person and over the phone.
• Team Support: Leverage your automotive parts knowledge to support other NAPA team members in assisting customers with their inquiries.
• Customer Engagement: Deliver outstanding customer care and foster positive interactions with every individual visiting our NAPA Store.
• Welcoming Customers: Warmly welcome retail customers into our stores, engaging them to ensure a positive and helpful consumer experience.
• Sales Processing: Efficiently utilize various tools including computer systems, cash registers, telephones, and traditional paper catalog systems to find information and process sales.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED. Solid background and knowledge of automotive parts.
• Experience: Valid Driver’s License is required. Previous experience in a parts store or the automotive industry, OR a strong willingness to learn and master auto parts knowledge.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a genuine enthusiasm for working in retail environments, great listening skills combined with empathy for customer needs.
• Bonus: Technical or Trade school courses or a degree in an automotive-related field. A background and/or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel mechanics, marine vehicles, or dealership operations. Previous experience in a parts store, auction, general retail store, or auto body/collision shop. Knowledge of cataloging systems AND/OR inventory management systems. An entirely customer-centric approach. ASE Certifications.
