NAPA Counter Sales Associate | NAPA
The Tone:
This is a full-time and part-time role at NAPA. NAPA is more than a parts store, seeking great talent to join its family. As a Counter Sales Associate, you are the face of the retail store, the go-to person for customers, ready to assist them with all their automotive needs. This role is crucial for delivering expert solutions and positive interactions for both retail and wholesale customers.
The TL;DR

• Mission: To provide expert automotive parts answers and solutions, ensuring positive interactions for all customers in the NAPA retail store.
• Tech Stack: Computer systems, Cash registers, Telephones, Paper catalog system
What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Solutions: Provide expert auto parts answers and solutions for both retail and wholesale customers, in person at the counter and over the phone.
• Team Support: Utilize your parts knowledge to support other NAPA team members in assisting customers with their inquiries.
• Service Delivery: Deliver outstanding customer care and positive interactions with every individual who visits our NAPA Store.
• Customer Engagement: Welcome retail customers into our stores, engaging with them to ensure a positive and helpful consumer experience.
• Tool Operation: Effectively use various tools including computer systems, cash registers, telephones, and our comprehensive paper catalog system.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED; core knowledge of automotive parts, or at least a strong willingness to learn all things auto parts.
• Experience: Valid Driver’s License; previous experience in a parts store or the automotive industry.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; great listening skills and empathy for customers; a love for retail environments.
• Bonus: Background and/or passion for the automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership experience; experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision shop; knowledge of cataloging AND/OR inventory management systems; demonstrated customer-centric approach; ASE Certifications.
