Job Description: MVW Marketing Intern
This is a full-time internship (up to 40 hours/week, including weekends and holidays) for Marriott Vacations Worldwide’s onsite direct marketing team in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Local residency and area knowledge are preferred. Housing is not provided. The hourly rate is $20.
The internship is part of the College Internship Program – Marketing and Sales, a 10-12 week immersive program. Interns will receive comprehensive onboarding, participate in operational duties within their assigned department, complete eLearning modules, attend virtual meetings with company leaders, engage in job shadowing, and receive mentorship from an onsite leader.
The program focuses on practical, hands-on experience. Marketing interns will learn the role of a non-commissioned marketing associate and may also learn aspects of commission-based sales roles and other departments. They’ll contribute to department projects and gain an understanding of successful marketing and sales operations. The program also emphasizes the company’s values and core beliefs.
Successful interns will be strongly considered for future career opportunities with Marriott Vacations Worldwide. The ideal candidate is pursuing a college degree (or within one year post-graduation), preferably in Hospitality, Marketing, Sales, or Business (though undecided majors may also be considered). Prior hospitality or sales experience is preferred, and past interns are given priority consideration, with performance ratings taken into account.
