Analyst, US Municipal Finance | RBC

• Mission: Provides essential support for the structuring and issuance of municipal bonds through negotiated, competitive sale, or private placement.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare client materials: Gather, organize, and analyze information to develop proposals, client presentations, offering statements, and marketing materials.
• Present financing alternatives: Prepare proposals and participate in presentations for prospective clients, detailing financing options and underwriting capabilities.
• Conduct financial analyses: Develop projections, bond/loan portfolio analyses, and related financial modeling for potential and actual capital markets transactions.
• Coordinate transaction closings: Oversee internal and external activities for the pricing and settlement of public finance transactions, collaborating with management and Investment Bankers.
• Enhance departmental efficiency: Improve data processing systems and develop analytical processing skills to optimize departmental operations and workflows.
The Must-Haves
• Background: BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of related professional experience in Municipal Finance.
• Skills: Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, strong knowledge of finance and accounting, excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to obtain and maintain SIE, Series 50, 52, and 63 licenses.
