Morning Sales Associate | GPM Investments, LLC

The Tone:
This is a full-time and part-time role at GPM Investments, LLC, in an in-person convenience retail setting. GPM Investments operates numerous convenience stores, and this Morning Sales Associate position is crucial for our daily operations. You will be instrumental in setting a positive and efficient tone for the day during the busiest early hours, ensuring customers have a welcoming experience and the store runs smoothly. Your versatility and commitment to maintaining a clean and well-stocked environment are key to the store’s success from the moment we open.

The TL;DR
• Role: Early Morning Shift (typically 5 AM to 7 AM start)
• Type: Full-time and Part-time available
• Location: In-person
• Pay: $11 hourly
• Mission: Set a positive tone for the day during busiest hours by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, well-stocked, and safe store environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Service: Greet every customer with a smile, accurately operate the register, and expertly handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while ensuring strict age verification and legal compliance.
• Store Cleanliness: Maintain a consistently clean and safe store environment, including performing deep cleaning of restrooms and sanitizing gas pumps (nozzles, screens, water buckets).
• Merchandise Stocking: Ensure shelves, coolers, and displays are kept fully stocked and merchandise appears fresh and appealing to customers.
• Exterior Maintenance: Regularly pick up litter and trash from the floor and lot area, take out trash to the dumpster in all weather conditions, and keep entryways, windows, and floors clean.
• Team Support: Cross-train in other departments, such as the deli, as needed, and proactively contribute as a team player to assist wherever necessary.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum Age: 18 years of age or older if located in CT, FL, LA, MI, MA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TX, TN, AZ, and CO; for all other states, must be 21 years of age or older.
• Experience: Previous experience in retail or customer service is appreciated, though it is not strictly required.
• Skills: Basic math proficiency, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication, effective English communication (ability to read, write, speak, and understand), and physical capability to frequently lift 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Other Attributes: Must be available to work weekends and holidays, comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, and possess a personable, positive, detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, and flexible demeanor.
