Monitor/Aide | First Student

The TL;DR

• Team: Works closely with drivers to ensure safe route operation.
• Mission: Ensures the safe operation of routes by actively monitoring passenger welfare, managing day-to-day operational needs, and assisting drivers, thereby upholding First Student’s dedication to safety and customer service.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Passenger Welfare: Monitor the welfare of passengers while in route, remaining alert to their needs.
• Route Communication: Communicate passenger behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver.
• Bus Inspections: Assist in the pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus.
• Student Support: Assist students in the loading and unloading process.
• Emergency Preparedness: Conduct emergency evacuation from the bus, including the use of existing by emergency door.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level role for individuals dedicated to student safety and customer service within a transportation setting, requiring commitment to operational oversight and route management.
• Experience: Practical experience or a demonstrated ability in monitoring the welfare of passengers, assisting with transportation logistics, and supporting drivers in safe vehicle operation, particularly regarding loading/unloading and emergency procedures.
• Skills:
