Mobility Coordinator | Hertz

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at Hertz, based at an assigned Fleet Mobility location, with requirements indicating a focus on operations within Georgia. Hertz, operating through its subsidiary Fleet Mobility Solutions, LLC, is dedicated to managing comprehensive vehicle fleets that underpin various app-based and on-demand mobility services across the United States. As a Mobility Coordinator, you will be the essential backbone of daily vehicle readiness and crucial shift coordination, playing a pivotal role in ensuring that every vehicle is meticulously inspected for safety, thoroughly cleaned, and fully prepared for use at the precise start of each driver’s shift, directly supporting the seamless flow of operations.

The TL;DR

• Pay: $19 hourly
• Team: Reports to the Mobility Dispatch Supervisor
• Mission: Ensure every vehicle is safe, clean, and fully prepared for use at the start of each driver’s shift.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections, meticulously verifying all safety and compliance standards are met before and after each operational period.
• Assign appropriate vehicles to drivers efficiently, carefully considering current availability, vehicle condition, and specific operational needs to optimize fleet utilization.
• Prepare and meticulously organize all necessary key tags and vehicle documentation, ensuring drivers can commence their assigned shifts promptly and without any administrative delays.
• Proactively monitor the status of all vehicles throughout the operational day, actively supporting seamless shift transitions and minimizing any potential downtime to maintain continuous service.
• Accurately report any detected vehicle issues, failures during inspection, or concerns regarding driver safety scoring directly to the Mobility Dispatch Supervisor for immediate review and resolution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should possess a foundational understanding of operational support, specifically in areas related to vehicle readiness and efficient coordination within a fleet environment. The role is critical for maintaining high standards of vehicle preparation and operational flow.
• Experience: Applicants must be at least 23 years of age or older and hold a valid driver’s license (Georgia driver’s license, if applicable to the location). Demonstrated experience adhering to safety protocols and organizational procedures is beneficial.
• Skills:
• Proven computer literacy and exceptional attention to detail for managing documentation and vehicle statuses.
• Demonstrated professionalism, enthusiasm, and outstanding communication abilities for effective interaction with supervisors and drivers.
• Capability to work effectively under minimal supervision, taking personal pride in ensuring smooth and efficient operational continuity.
• Essential flexibility in scheduling, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational demands.
