Job Description
K&L Gates is seeking to hire a mid-level associate to join the Commercial Disputes practice in their dynamic Pittsburgh office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience with general commercial litigation matters, multi-district litigation or class actions in state and federal courts.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
• Experience independently conducting research, drafting substantive pleadings and motions.
• Experience organizing, conducting and managing the discovery practice, including e-discovery.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and be admitted to or eligible to sit for the Pennsylvania Bar.
• Clerkship or journal experience preferred but not required.
• Candidates will work closely with experienced lawyers who will provide active mentoring and opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
• Self-starters who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and exceptional research and writing abilities.
• Desire candidates with a commitment to providing the highest quality client service.
