Job Description: Mergers & Acquisition (M&A) and Integration Intern
Labcorp seeks a motivated intern to support their M&A team. This 12-week, full-time internship provides hands-on experience in mergers and acquisitions. The intern will work closely with the M&A team, contributing to various stages of the deal process and integration strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in evaluating and analyzing potential acquisition targets. This involves researching and performing financial analysis of target companies.
• Conduct market research and financial analysis to support deal sourcing and due diligence.
• Prepare financial models, valuation reports, and presentations. This requires strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Support the integration team in developing and implementing integration plans. This involves collaborating with various teams to ensure a smooth transition after an acquisition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth post-merger integration.
• Monitor and report on the progress of integration activities. Tracking key metrics and providing updates to the team.
• Assist in preparing internal and external communications related to M&A activities. This could include presentations, memos, and other communications materials.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed for interacting with various teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
