Merchandiser – Entry Level/Training Provided | PepsiCo

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role across multi-store locations for PepsiCo, a global leader in food and beverages. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring PepsiCo’s extensive product range is perfectly presented and readily available in large retail environments. By maintaining optimal stock levels and eye-catching displays, merchandisers directly contribute to product visibility and sales success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Merchandising: Stock shelves, coolers, and product displays in assigned accounts to ensure products are always available and appealing.
• Product Rotation: Manage product freshness by rotating items in the backroom and on the sales floor according to company standards.
• Product Movement: Transport products efficiently from storage areas to the sales floor, utilizing equipment such as U Boats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Promotional Display: Install promotional materials, including signs and banners, to highlight products and support marketing campaigns.
• Inventory Organization: Maintain a neat and orderly backroom stock condition, ensuring products are easily accessible and managed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience: No specific prior experience is required, as this is an entry-level role with training provided. Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License, proof of insurance, and personal transportation to access multiple store locations.
• Skills: Physical capability to lift, load, push, and pull cases weighing 20-45 pounds repeatedly; Ability to operate equipment like U Boats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks; Strong communication skills to interact effectively with store managers and PepsiCo management; Self-managed approach to work under minimal supervision.
• Bonus: Experience working in a retail business or grocery store environment; Prior experience moving or merchandising products within a store; Experience managing backroom/stock room inventory; History of serving customers.
