Medical Surgical Registered Nurse | Wilcox Medical Center

This Medical Surgical Registered Nurse role is essential for delivering dedicated, high-quality care to patients requiring acute nursing interventions, ensuring their recovery in a supportive environment.

• Pay: $47.71–$68.16 hourly

• Mission: Provide quality and safe acute nursing interventions for medical, surgical, and oncology patients.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide quality and safe acute nursing care to patients admitted for 24 hours or more, encompassing surgical, medical, and oncology services.
• Treat individuals recovering from serious illness, orthopedic problems, and major surgery in a warm and caring environment.
• Facilitate patient recovery through the administration of medication and various treatments.
• Engage in a comprehensive 12-week clinical training program designed to support the transition from novice to independent practice.
• Maintain availability for rotation to night shift and for any shift length (4, 8, 10, or 12 hours) during the initial 12-week training period.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Registered Nurse, including new graduates, nurses with non-acute care experience, or nurses returning to bedside care after a hiatus.
• Experience: Commitment to completing the full 12-week clinical training program without taking time away (PTO) and availability for rotating night shifts and all shift lengths.
• Skills: Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License; Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.
