Medical Assistant – Lone Tree Family Practice | OnPoint Medical Group
The Tone:
This is a Medical Assistant position at OnPoint Medical Group, located in Lone Tree, CO. OnPoint Medical Group is a physician-led network dedicated to expanding access to quality healthcare in an effective and affordable manner. This role is crucial for assisting providers in patient examination and treatment, directly contributing to the health and wellness of members and their families within their local neighborhoods.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Intake: Welcome patients, prepare them for visits, obtain medical history, and verify patient information.
• Provider Support: Assist providers during examinations and treatments, performing point of care tests appropriate to skill level and regulations.
• Facility Maintenance: Disinfect and clean treatment rooms, maintain supplies, and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
• Record Management: Populate all sections of the electronic medical record timely and accurately, and address inbox messages for providers and staff.
• Operational Support: Conduct pre-visit planning, maintain required logs, and provide backup for front office duties like check-in, check-out, and scheduling.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High School Diploma or GED required, plus graduation from an accredited healthcare program (Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN, EMT) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: Some Medical Assistant experience required, with a preference for 1-3 years in Family or Pediatrics.
• Skills: Strong computer skills, experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), ability to communicate appropriately, and active listening skills.
• Bonus: Nationally recognized Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) strongly preferred, experience with Athenahealth practice management system, and a current BLS card.
