Position Overview
The PLL is seeking a highly organized Media Asset Management Intern to provide essential support in the organization, management, and distribution of all media assets throughout the 2026 season. This role is critical for maintaining efficient media workflows and ensuring content is readily accessible for various needs, including file organization, adherence to naming conventions, and comprehensive metadata tagging for a diverse range of content from both the PLL and WLL.
Qualifications
- Strong collaboration, organization, and time management skills are essential for this role.
- Familiarity with common codecs and different file types.
- Proficiency in Adobe Cloud Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro & Encoder.
- Prior experience in organizing media assets is a significant advantage.
- Experience in sports production; knowledge of lacrosse is a plus.
Role and Responsibilities
- Aid in the overall media management process, including organizing files, implementing naming conventions, and overseeing the upload/distribution of a wide range of content. This includes game footage, branded content, PLL Network games, and photo assets.
- Tag metadata meticulously for PLL and WLL game footage, branded shoots, original features, and game broadcasts to ensure discoverability and proper categorization.
- Edit and build stringouts for various purposes, including broadcast, partners, or internal departmental requests.
- Create and share all broadcast game links for PLL season sharing sheets, facilitating both internal and external distribution.
- Assist with tracking of all tagging and footage selects from content creators and editors, ensuring workflow updates within Asana are maintained.
- Restore and track assets for content creators and editors, and distribute requested footage/photos from current or past years to other departments.
- Upload and track media appearances of PLL and WLL players to the media database for archival purposes.
- Oversee DIT (Digital Imaging Technician) and collection of all media assets on a week-to-week basis.
- Organize assets within Dropbox and share links across internal departments to facilitate collaboration and access.
Compensation
- $17.00 per hour
