About CMTA, a Legence Company:

• They offer a robust co-op program for college students in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Architectural Engineering.
• CMTA provides hands-on training in AutoCAD and Revit, allowing students to create real construction drawings for real projects.
Job Description:
• Position: Mechanical/HVAC/Energy Design Co-op
• Location: Lexington, KY
• Timing: August 2025 – Fall 2025 (flexible with school calendar)
• Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week), onsite
• Compensation: Competitive hourly pay rate, eligible for overtime
Responsibilities:
• Produce detailed layouts and equipment details of HVAC systems.
• Produce one-line diagrams/schematics.
• Assist in assembling organized sets of drawings.
• Assist in data collection and/or field verification.
• Work with designers and engineers to develop all aspects of a project.
Requirements:
• Pursuing a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (sophomore or junior preferred).
• Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering.
• AutoCAD and REVIT experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to work full-time in the Lexington, KY office during the co-op term.
• Ability to travel locally for job site inspections, field work, etc.
