Position Title:
Mechanical Engineering Internship
Position Overview:
This internship offers a valuable opportunity for students or recent graduates with an interest in mechanical design, customer collaboration, and product development. Interns will gain practical, hands-on experience by supporting various technical projects, learning how engineering concepts are applied in a real-world manufacturing environment, and assisting with new product development and testing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer-Related Engineering Support: Assist with activities such as data gathering, design reviews, and basic part evaluations related to customer needs.
• Documentation and Presentation: Help in preparing essential documentation, reports, and technical presentations.
• Product Evaluation: Support the evaluation of returned product samples and participate in investigations of failure modes.
• Tool Proficiency: Learn to utilize basic design and simulation tools for component analysis and testing purposes.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers and project teams during the initial phases of product development.
• Meeting Participation: Engage in internal meetings concerning product launches, testing, and customer engagement strategies.
• Validation Support: Provide assistance with basic testing, data entry, and report creation for product validation efforts.
• Design and Analysis: Observe and contribute to design discussions and participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) processes.
Ideal Qualifications:
• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field.
• Interest Areas: Demonstrated interest in product design, engineering communication, and manufacturing processes.
• Skills: Possesses strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Software: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Work Ethic: Willingness to learn and actively contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
