Job Description, Detailed
This position is for a Mechanical Engineering Intern with a target start date of summer 2026.
As an intern, you will be a valuable member of a project team, primarily assisting senior engineering team members in executing their project work. The projects you may be involved in focus on the design of new or modifications and upgrades to existing power plant or industrial facility systems and components.
Working under the direct guidance of senior engineers, this role provides a significant opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in Mechanical Engineering. Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Working on a diverse range of tasks related to project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data.
Qualifications:
• Essential Skills and Experience:
• Requires completion of coursework toward a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Enrollment in an ABET-accredited engineering program is preferred.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in PC skills.

• Valued, But Not Required Skills and Experience:
• Prior, related internship or co-op experience.
• An understanding of the practical application of mechanical engineering principles.
Compensation Range:
The compensation for this position ranges from $17.50 to $27.00 per hour.
