What We Look For In a Math 3 Tutor

  • Guides students through modeling periodic phenomena, analyzing rational function behavior, performing statistical inference with confidence intervals, and solving geometric design problems.
  • Emphasizes mathematical modeling and connects advanced functions to real-world applications in biology, physics, and financial analysis.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiar with Integrated Math 3 curricula and Common Core standards.
  • Aware of common student challenges, such as graphing rational functions, understanding logarithmic scales, and applying the normal distribution.
  • Adapts instruction using graphing technology, data analysis projects, and cumulative review strategies to support students preparing for AP Mathematics, SAT, or college-level coursework.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple approaches.
  • Proven capability to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
