Marketing Intern | Crystal AI

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Crystal AI, located remotely with occasional in-person meetings, ideally for individuals in the Tampa Bay area. Crystal AI is a software engineering and consulting firm focused on building modern, AI-leveraged software and providing expert advice to clients on shipping better products faster. The company is currently at an inflection point, with a small team, active clients, and growing demand, ready to establish its first dedicated marketing function. This role is a significant opportunity; you will be the inaugural marketing hire, owning real projects from conception to results. The work you do will be visible and directly shape how Crystal AI is perceived in the market, providing a tangible portfolio piece that demonstrates the ability to build something from zero.

• Mission: Establish and manage Crystal AI’s foundational marketing presence and content strategy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Establish Crystal AI’s brand voice, positioning, and core messaging through templates and guidelines.
• Set up and actively manage the company’s and Nick’s personal LinkedIn presence.
• Develop and write a variety of content, including 2-3 LinkedIn posts per week, monthly long-form pieces, and case studies.
• Oversee the entire content calendar end-to-end, ensuring timely execution and publication.
• Conduct light competitor and ideal customer profile (ICP) research to inform marketing strategies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at USF or another local university, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a closely related field. Juniors, seniors, or graduate students are preferred, though motivated sophomores with relevant skills are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience: Comfortable navigating and utilizing LinkedIn for professional purposes; bonus if you have cultivated a personal brand of any size.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong writing ability, specifically the capacity to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and readable content. A genuine curiosity and interest in technology, artificial intelligence, and the consulting industry are essential. The ability to work independently and be self-directed, without constant supervision, is key. Reliable communication skills are paramount, including responsiveness to Slack messages, consistent adherence to deadlines, and proactively raising any potential issues.
• Bonus: Coursework or projects in B2B marketing, content marketing, or SEO; experience with tools like Canva, Notion, Buffer/Hootsuite, or HubSpot; a personal LinkedIn following or content portfolio (such as a blog or newsletter); membership in USF AMA, marketing clubs, or related professional organizations.
