THE POSITION: Marketing Intern (Summer 2026)
Porter Law Firm is actively seeking a motivated and creative Marketing Intern for a full-time, paid position during Summer 2026. This role offers an invaluable opportunity to gain practical experience within a fast-paced professional services environment, specifically a law firm. The intern will collaborate directly with the Marketing Director, providing crucial support across a range of marketing functions. This position is ideal for an individual who is organized, proactive, creative, and eager to learn how strategic marketing initiatives drive business growth and client engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS
Research & Strategy Support
- Conduct comprehensive research into industry trends, competitor activities, and target audience demographics.
- Assist in compiling targeted lists for various outreach initiatives, including potential sponsorships, client engagement, and event invitations.
- Contribute to tracking marketing initiative performance and assist in summarizing key insights and data for strategic evaluation.
Social Media & Campaign Execution
- Support the development and planning of the social media content calendar, ensuring timely scheduling across key platforms, with a primary focus on LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Draft engaging captions and assist in selecting appropriate visual assets for social media posts.
- Play a key role in promoting Porter Law Firm’s podcast, including drafting episode launch posts and monitoring engagement metrics to assess reach and impact.
Content Creation & Coordination
- Assist in drafting and meticulously editing various marketing content, such as social media posts, newsletter articles, email announcements, and website updates.
- Provide support for basic design tasks, utilizing tools like Canva and PowerPoint as needed, to create visually appealing marketing materials.
Events & Brand Activations
- Support the planning, coordination, and logistical execution of client events and various event sponsorships, ensuring seamless brand representation and engagement.
DESIRED QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication abilities are essential for crafting clear and compelling marketing messages.
- Organizational Acumen: Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proactive & Professional: Comfortable taking initiative and adept at working professionally within an office environment.
- Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with major social media platforms and an understanding of content best practices, particularly on LinkedIn.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with design tools such as Canva, and productivity software like Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, is a significant plus.
