Job Description: Marketing Events Intern
Dialpad is seeking a Marketing Events Intern for a summer internship running from June 16th to August 15th, 2025. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in the San Ramon office. The intern will report to Alyssa Beatton, Events Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities: This internship offers exposure to various marketing areas, including:
• Event Planning & Execution: The intern will contribute significantly to Dialpad’s eight-city US tour. This includes supporting venue research and contract coordination, building event runbooks and checklists, assisting with vendor and partner communications, developing registration tracking systems, and setting up budget tracking spreadsheets. The intern will play a key role in the successful execution of the event strategy, managing end-to-end venue logistics, vendor management, on-site event delivery, attendee experience, the full registration lifecycle and communications, VIP, speaker, and partner programs.
• Marketing Operations & Data Analysis: The intern will support data analysis and reporting, creating data-driven event dashboards and reports. This includes managing robust tracking systems and contributing to budget management and reconciliation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams, balancing multiple priorities across the eight-city program.
Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented student passionate about event planning and marketing. They should thrive in fast-paced environments, be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, possess strong data analysis and creative skills, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal abilities. A desire to learn about B2B marketing is essential.
First 30 Days: The intern will learn Dialpad’s event management tools and processes, create project timelines, support venue research and contract coordination, build event runbooks and checklists, assist with vendor and partner communications, help develop registration tracking systems, and set up budget tracking spreadsheets.
By the End of the Internship: The intern will have successfully executed an event strategy, developed comprehensive event runbooks, coordinated venue logistics and vendor management, supported successful on-site event delivery, mastered event management tools and processes, managed attendee experience, managed the full registration lifecycle and communications, built and maintained robust tracking systems, coordinated VIP, speaker, and partner programs, developed a deep understanding of B2B event operations, delivered program analytics, created data-driven event dashboards and reports, contributed to budget management and reconciliation, and supported cross-functional team coordination.
Value to the Intern: The internship provides hands-on experience in planning a major B2B marketing tour, exposure to multiple marketing disciplines, development of project management and analytical skills, networking opportunities, real-world experience in data-driven marketing, and an understanding of the B2B technology marketing landscape.
Value to Dialpad: The intern will provide support for critical tour planning and execution, offer a fresh perspective on event marketing strategies, provide additional bandwidth for data analysis and reporting, assist with cross-functional coordination, and support registration and logistics management.
Compensation: The California salary range is $20 – $20 USD. This is a base salary only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. The final salary will be determined based on location and experience.
