Job Description: Marketing & Communications Intern
LiveOnNY seeks a passionate, creative, and detail-oriented intern to support their Marketing & Communications team. This internship offers hands-on experience in social media, content development, and marketing operations, focusing on impactful storytelling to promote organ donation. The intern will report directly to the Senior Director of Marketing and Social Media.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in the marketing cycle, contributing to positioning, messaging, and storytelling.
• Capture short-form video content using a smartphone for social media and internal use.
• Edit video content for various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Assist in developing compelling stories about organ donation and transplant recipients.
• Support email list development and campaign management.
• Perform general administrative tasks, including scheduling, file organization, and research.
• Brainstorm and create social and digital content to engage diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistent messaging.
• Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• At least two years completed in a Bachelor’s program (in communications, journalism, marketing, public health, or nonprofit work preferred).
• Strong desire to learn and professional drive.
• Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Teamwork abilities and capacity to execute programs effectively.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
• Preferred:
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut, or similar video editing tools.
• Proactive attitude exceeding role requirements.
• Basic understanding of marketing principles and industry trends.
• Proven ability to find creative solutions to complex challenges.
Employment Model: 3 days a week in the office (flexible hours).
Salary Range: $20-$25 per hour
