Marketing & Brand Strategy Intern | Chi Forest

The Tone:
This is a full-time, 6-month internship at Chi Forest, located remotely within the U.S. with a preference for Los Angeles/San Francisco-based candidates for event participation opportunities. Chi Forest is a rapidly growing beverage brand, founded in 2016 in Beijing, specializing in sugar-free and low-calorie drinks across a diverse portfolio including sparkling beverages, ready-to-drink teas, and energy drinks. The company is significantly expanding its presence in mainstream U.S. retail channels and engaging with pop culture events. This role is crucial for supporting the North America team’s international brand strategy and growth, helping Chi Forest better connect with global consumers by directly contributing to brand building across both digital and offline channels. The intern will play a key part in building the next generation of international brands, working closely with both U.S. and China teams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Research: Support Chi Forest’s international brand strategy by conducting comprehensive research on global food & beverage trends, consumer behavior, competitor activity, and emerging marketing opportunities.
• Trend Monitoring: Monitor overseas social media trends, internet culture, and pop culture movements across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and Xiaohongshu, providing actionable insights.
• Creator Partnerships: Research and identify creators/KOLs that align with Chi Forest’s brand positioning, including outreach, communication, collaboration management, and performance tracking.
• Content Creation: Create, film, edit, and publish engaging social media content, specifically including live coverage from major events such as Anime Expo, KCON, conventions, festivals, and community activations.
• Event Marketing Support: Assist with the execution of event marketing, encompassing booth activations, creator coordination, sampling activities, and developing post-event recaps.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student with a strong passion for consumer brands, marketing, pop culture, and international business.
• Experience: Preferred prior experience in content creation, marketing, social media management, creator partnerships, or event marketing.
• Skills: Excellent communication, deep interest in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and internet culture, highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable. Fluent in English.
• Bonus: Familiarity with anime, K-pop, and creator culture; proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin; basic photo/video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Canva); Los Angeles/San Francisco-based candidates strongly preferred.
