Internship Overview:

As a Marketing and Communications Intern, you will play a pivotal role in showcasing the transformative power of CRJ’s Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). Working closely with the Marketing and Communications Supervisor, you will gather and highlight authentic narratives from CRJ students and their dedicated Corporate Work Study supervisors. These stories are crucial for demonstrating the skills CRJ students acquire, promoting the value of partnering with CRJ and CWSP, and ultimately contributing to the school’s mission.

This internship is designed for students seeking to gain real-world marketing and communications experience while balancing academic commitments. It offers the distinct advantage of earning academic credit alongside modest compensation.

Internship Duration:
Expected to commence in mid-February 2026 and conclude at the end of the academic school year (May–June).

Position Details:

This is a part-time role, requiring an estimated 8-10 hours per week. The intern will be integral to the content creation process, focusing specifically on generating promotional materials that celebrate student achievements and the benefits for CWSP partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Collateral Development: Create diverse marketing materials for the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), including digital and print content designed to inform and engage various stakeholders.
On-site Content Generation: Actively generate compelling content by regularly attending and observing students in their Corporate Work Study workplaces (2-3 sites per week). This involves capturing the essence of their professional development.
Visual Storytelling: Capture high-quality photographs of students engaged in tasks and daily activities within their workplaces, illustrating their skills and work ethic.
Testimonial Collection: Record video interviews with students and their supervisors at workplaces, gathering authentic testimonials that highlight the benefits of being a CRJ student and a CWSP partner.
Permission Management: Diligently obtain and document all necessary photo/video permissions in strict accordance with school and Archdiocese policies, ensuring compliance and ethical standards.
Professional Conduct: Maintain the highest levels of professionalism and confidentiality when interacting with students, supervisors, and corporate partners, fostering trust and respect.
Digital Asset Management: Establish and maintain a comprehensive digital library of testimonials, photographs, and video experiences for current and future marketing and communications initiatives.
Social Media Engagement: Develop and schedule engaging social media posts focused on CWSP activities, student accomplishments, and partnership highlights to increase visibility and engagement.
Brand Consistency: Ensure all generated content rigorously adheres to CRJ’s established branding guidelines, mission, and core values, maintaining a cohesive institutional voice.
Additional Duties: Undertake other marketing and communications-related tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Background: Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a college program, with a strong preference for majors in Marketing, Communications, Media, Education, or a closely related field.
Communication & Storytelling: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a keen aptitude for crafting compelling narratives and engaging stories.
Visual Media Skills: Proficiency in photography and/or videography is preferred, showcasing an ability to create visually appealing content.
Adaptability: Possesses a high degree of flexibility and adaptability to manage diverse tasks and evolving project requirements.
Time Management: Proven ability to effectively balance internship responsibilities with academic commitments and other personal obligations.
Mission Alignment: A sincere commitment to upholding the Mission and Values of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.
Youth Engagement: A genuine desire to work collaboratively with high school students, acting as a supportive and encouraging presence.

Safety Compliance: Successful completion of the Archdiocese Safe Environment training for CRJ Milwaukee is a mandatory requirement for this role.
