Market Analyst | ICE

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). ICE operates exchanges and clearing houses across North America, Europe, and Asia, delivering essential risk solutions across diverse asset classes and time zones. Through its markets, clearing houses, and data services, ICE empowers clients with tools for hedging, investing, and capital raising, transforming market challenges into opportunities. As a Market Analyst, you will join a team critical to the company’s success by managing daily cleared product settlement pricing and product listings on the ICE trading platform, ensuring accurate and reliable market data that supports global financial markets.

• Mission: Develop and maintain processes to generate accurate daily closing prices for Futures and Option products, ensuring fair valuations and supporting ICE’s cleared product settlement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Pricing Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing data to accurately identify market trends and relationships, ensuring fair valuations across a broad range of ICE asset markets such as Energy, Interest Rates, Agriculture, Equity Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, FX, and Physical Environmental products.
• Price Generation: Generate precise daily closing prices for cleared forward and option contracts, a critical function for market operations and settlement processes.
• Product Support: Provide comprehensive ongoing support and maintenance for existing ICE products, resolving issues and ensuring their operational integrity.
• Internal Collaboration: Collaborate actively and directly with various internal departments, including Sales, Development, Quality Assurance (QA), and Operations, to facilitate smooth product launches and address operational needs.
• Quality Control: Take responsibility for reviewing a suite of daily reports that cover crucial settlement exit criteria thresholds, overall price fidelity, and fixing reports, upholding the highest standards of data accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business or a relevant financial discipline. A combination of applicable training and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: A minimum of three years of professional experience in an analytical role is required. This includes a strong working knowledge of Excel and practical experience in managing and analyzing large Excel spreadsheets.
• Skills: Essential skills include a solid understanding of future and option market structure and pricing. Strong analytical abilities are crucial, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to multi-task effectively under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include prior experience with Visual Basic or other analytical applications, as well as exposure to commodity markets or a broader financial trading environment background.
