Manufacturing Planner Job Description
Location: Huntsville, AL

Job Summary:
This role is a critical part of the Manufacturing team, supporting the production of advanced, high-tech equipment for both government and commercial customers. The Manufacturing Planner works within a fast-paced, highly technical environment, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of complex builds.
Responsibilities:
• Production Order Management: Release, monitor, and close production orders.
• Kit Creation and Delivery: Facilitate the assembly and delivery of necessary materials.
• Material Master Management: Create and maintain material records.
• Bill of Material Review: Review and ensure accuracy of manufacturing bills of materials.
• Material Usage Tracking: Monitor and record material consumption.
• Exception Management: Monitor and address production issues and exceptions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact with program management, senior management, and customers.
• Schedule and Risk Analysis: Utilize modeling and measuring techniques to assess schedule risks and opportunities.
• Performance and Health Metrics: Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.
• Communication and Integration: Facilitate communication and integration across program teams.
• Critical Path Methodology: Develop and apply critical path analysis techniques.
• Earned Value Management (EVM): Apply EVM principles for schedule risk assessments, reporting, and proposal planning.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• 2-3 years of experience in a technical manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, etc.)
• Experience with planning software (SAP, Microsoft Project, etc.)
• Familiarity with EVM concepts (critical path analysis, cost/schedule integration, etc.)
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
• Desired:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• Green Belt Certification
• 3+ years of experience in a technical manufacturing environment
• IMS knowledge
• APICS/ASCM certifications
• Scrum Master experience
• Green Belt training
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Experience with developing and presenting strategic narratives
