Managing Director, Western Canada Executive Compensation | WTW
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at WTW, located in Western Canada, with a focus on the Alberta market. WTW is a global advisory firm that provides strategic advice and solutions across health, wealth, and career, helping clients succeed by turning risks into growth opportunities. In this leadership position, you will be instrumental in expanding our Executive Compensation practice in Western Canada, directly impacting client success through expert counsel and by fostering firm growth and thought leadership.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: Western Canada (focused on Alberta market)
• Pay: $260000–$300000 yearly
• Team: Executive Compensation and Board Advisory (ECBA) practice
• Mission: Grow the Western Canadian Executive Compensation practice, lead large client engagements, and serve as a strategic advisor to senior clients.
• Tech Stack: Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Consulting: Serve as the lead Executive Compensation Consultant on client projects, developing reward strategies that align with human capital goals and business objectives.
• Relationship Management: Develop and maintain key accounts and trusted client relationships at a senior level to foster long-term partnerships across multiple practices.
• Engagement Leadership: Manage multiple complex Executive Compensation engagements, ensuring profitable revenue, associate development, and high client satisfaction.
• Practice Development: Contribute to the design and implementation of Executive Compensation programs and practices for clients, nurturing your profile as a thought leader.
• Team Leadership: Lead Executive Compensation engagements by developing project plans and effectively leveraging cross-functional teams.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required; Executive-level experience in executive compensation consulting or a senior HR/compensation leadership role.
• Experience: Minimum fifteen (15) years in an executive compensation consulting organization or a large, complex organization, with proven success in executive compensation benchmarking, incentive design, and equity compensation programs.
• Skills: Excellent analytical skills, an executive presence with persuasive oral and written communication, strong client relationship skills, and demonstrated capacity to win profitable new business.
• Bonus: MBA or other relevant advanced degree (e.g., law, accounting, or actuarial science degrees, certification such as CCP) preferred.
