• Mission: To learn and apply management principles for small driver count and non-traditional shifts, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant freight movement and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Driver Relations: Learn to cultivate and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and outside carriers to minimize turnover and maximize productivity.
• Operational Oversight: Become proficient in maximizing fleet operations efficiency and profitability, including making improvement recommendations and presenting financial analysis.
• Compliance & Safety: Acquire knowledge of maintaining the Company’s safety culture, enforcing policies, and ensuring DOT compliance through training and reviews.
• Freight & Load Planning: Learn to assign loads, plan routes, and monitor freight movement to ensure safe, on-time service and meet all customer requirements.
• Administrative Management: Perform administrative duties such as payroll, budget management, driver counseling, accident reviews, and creating operational or financial reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or a High School Diploma/GED combined with relevant experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in management, transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience if a Bachelor’s degree is not held.
