Senior Manager, Operational Resilience, Financial Services | Deloitte

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Deloitte, located in London or Manchester. Deloitte’s Reputation, Risk, Crisis and Resilience (RRCR) team supports Financial Services clients in navigating an ever-changing environment characterized by uncertainty and disruption. This role is crucial in helping these clients build resilience to strategic, operational, and technology risks, ensuring their continued operation and reputational value in the face of shocks and high-impact events.

• Mission: To help Financial Services clients better plan for and build resilience against strategic risks, issues, incidents, and crises.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Leadership: Lead complex client engagements and delivery, including responsibility for contracts, budgets, and the development of junior team members.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter advice to clients across the range of crisis and resilience services offered by RRCR and related internal teams.
• Business Development: Support go-to-market activities and business development to grow account relationships and deliver commercial success.
• Product Innovation: Develop new products and services, including digital and AI, to support and enhance Deloitte’s resilience offerings.
• Strategic Engagement: Lead senior discussions with C-Suites and boards to raise awareness of crisis and resilience issues and themes in various markets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior Manager with extensive knowledge of organizational resilience across several disciplines, including a thorough understanding of related regulations and evolving thinking of regulators and bodies in the Financial Services sector.
• Experience: Proven commercial success in Financial Services, demonstrating the ability to scale and grow accounts and develop new relationships for resilience services, ideally in large and complex financial services organizations, with experience in operational resilience, business continuity, technology and digital resilience, third-party resilience, cloud resilience, IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery, crisis management, contingency planning, scenario risk modeling, operational risk, and Enterprise Risk Management.
• Skills: Ability to articulate complex resilience concepts clearly, influence senior leaders (C-Suite and boards), and build trust, with strong communication, presentation, and business writing skills; experience in designing and leading testing, simulations, pilots, and exercises to test and refine resilience capabilities; and the ability to quickly understand complex organizations, their operating models, interdependencies, and associated risks.
