Senior Manager – Operations.Trade Operations-Exports | Mashreq

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mashreq, located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Mashreq is a leading financial institution, and this role contributes to its robust banking operations. The Senior Manager plays a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of operations by providing critical data insights, managing operational risks, and driving process improvements, particularly within Trade Operations – Exports. This position is vital for supporting informed decision-making and maintaining high service delivery standards across the bank.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare, monitor, and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and service-oriented dashboards for Service Management teams, covering volume trends, performance, error management, incident monitoring, and customer complaints across all operations and segments.
• Risk & Compliance Reporting: Oversee all risk-related regulatory reporting for CIBG, IBG, and RBG, enhance KPI/MI for the risk function’s performance monitoring, and coordinate with bank departments to ensure accurate customer data for regulatory reporting.
• Process Improvement & Quality Assurance: Conduct internal process audits and reviews, identify process gaps, analyze errors for root causes, recommend system improvements, and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency, minimize risk, and ensure strict adherence to defined guidelines.
• Vendor and Resource Management: Manage end-to-end vendor activities including EC staff onboarding/offboarding, resource allocation for projects, raising purchase requisitions, processing monthly vendor billing, and generating Goods Receipt Notes for timely payments.
• Strategic Data Analysis & System Enhancement: Work closely with technology to build a comprehensive data platform for multi-dimensional analysis, highlight system-related issues, streamline reporting processes, and provide analytical insights for product development and targeting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Postgraduate or Graduate degree with a minimum of 10 years of diversified experience in banking operations, possessing good working knowledge of corporate processes and systems.
• Experience: At least 10+ years in banking operations covering various products and services, with demonstrated experience in MIS preparation, data analysis, risk reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), SQL, data warehousing tools, and analytical software like Power BI or Qlik. Effective communication, presentation, problem-solving, and risk management abilities.
• Bonus: Ability to attract and lead talent, effective management of risk and control, and full awareness of compliance and regulatory requirements.
