Corporate Development Manager | DoorDash
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at DoorDash, located remotely with some domestic and international travel expected. DoorDash is a technology and logistics company that empowers local economies by enabling door-to-door delivery of various goods. This role is central to DoorDash’s continued growth, directly impacting the overall strategic direction of the company by identifying and executing transformative acquisitions and investments. You will be part of a small, high-performing group dedicated to sourcing and executing M&A and investments.

• Mission: Identify and execute transformative acquisitions and investments globally that accelerate or increase the likelihood of DoorDash achieving its strategic objectives.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Cycle Participation: Engage in all stages of the deal cycle, including sourcing, evaluating business models, strategic and financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration.
• Relationship Building: Foster connections with leaders at both emerging and established companies, as well as with investment banking, venture capital, and private equity firms.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Manage diligence, deal execution, and integration efforts across various internal teams, including operations, engineering, product, finance, accounting, and legal.
• Strategic Identification: Research and recommend industries, companies, and technologies for DoorDash to evaluate for M&A or investment, aligning with company objectives to identify and pursue technologies that accelerate those goals.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and presentations to track and analyze the industry and prospective M&A opportunities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in areas such as investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting.
• Experience: Six or more years in relevant fields, demonstrating the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional senior executives in environments that are subject to change.
• Skills: Proficient in financial modeling, valuation, and comprehensive quantitative analysis, coupled with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
