Management Training Program | CED

The Tone:
This is an on-the-job training program at CED, located nationwide due to essential relocation requirements. CED is a leading nationwide wholesaler of electrical supplies, providing essential materials for diverse projects ranging from residential homes to large industrial facilities. This program is crucial for cultivating future leaders who will operate their own multi-million dollar CED locations within our unique decentralized business model. It prepares individuals for a rewarding career in the electrical wholesale distribution industry.

• Mission: To cultivate future leaders who will run their own multi-million-dollar CED locations, providing a holistic understanding of business operations in the electrical wholesale distribution industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Warehouse Operations: Actively learn and manage the intricacies of inventory management, logistics, shipping, and receiving processes.
• Sales and Customer Relations: Develop direct customer service and sales skills, understand client needs and product applications, and cultivate relationships with key clients to drive sales growth.
• Financial Management: Gain practical experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and analyzing financial statements to understand business performance.
• Supply Chain and Purchasing: Comprehend supply chain management, vendor relations, and procurement processes, optimizing stock levels to ensure product availability.
• Business Development and Project Management: Identify new market opportunities, strategize growth initiatives, expand market share, and learn to plan, execute, and oversee complex projects from inception to completion.
• Program Participation: Actively attend multiple training sessions focused on electrical products, advanced sales techniques, and leadership development to build comprehensive industry knowledge and managerial expertise.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree, with related experience considered for exceptional candidates in lieu of a degree; no prior industry experience is required as comprehensive training is provided.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, as this is an immersive 2-3 year on-the-job training program designed for aspiring leaders.
• Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and build strong relationships; geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate during and upon completion of the program for career advancement; strong adaptability to thrive in a multi-faceted environment and adjust to new challenges; a current, valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; and authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
• Bonus: Prior experience in sales or customer service.
