Management Trainee Program | CED

The Tone:
This is a full-time management trainee program at CED, a privately held leader in electrical distribution. This immersive 2 to 2.5-year program is designed to launch your sales leadership career, preparing you to independently run a multi-million dollar business location. The role matters because it offers a direct path to entrepreneurial autonomy, allowing future managers to make real business decisions and drive market growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Master core business operations including inventory control, purchasing, warehouse logistics, and counter sales.
• Finance: Develop financial acumen by learning forecasting, budgeting, and managing accounts receivable and payable.
• Sales: Build strong customer relationships and craft effective solutions to drive sales and account growth.
• Leadership: Cultivate leadership skills and strategic thinking to develop teams and analyze market opportunities.
• Management: Prepare to hire and manage your own team, develop inventory and sales strategies, and drive market growth for a CED location.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in any field. This is an entry-level career launchpad for future business managers.
• Experience: Willingness to relocate within the Pacific Northwest during and after the program, a valid U.S. driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, and authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Skills: Strong work ethic, competitive, self-starter attitude with entrepreneurial drive, outstanding communication skills, and team leadership potential.
• Bonus: Prior sales, retail, or customer service experience; leadership roles in academic, athletic, or professional settings; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
